About Us - IN BRIEF

Greenhills is a camp and conference Centre of the Uniting Church located in Canberra and situated on the Murrumbidgee River overlooking the lovely Cotter Valley. The Centre provides live-in facilities for group training and leadership. It is located 7km from Mt Stromlo and just 15 minutes by road from the heart of the city. It was established in 1965 and in 1995 a new large dining and conference facility was completed and the accommodation extended.

The Cotter Centre destroyed in the Canberra Bushfire on 18 January 2003 was rebuilt in 2006 with 66 beds and a hall with a capacity for 100 people. Three lounge/meeting rooms are included.

The Murrumbidgee Centre has 88 beds, an auditorium for 200 and a hall for 50 people both with breakout rooms.

The Centre offers comfortable accommodation, full meal service, and conference facilities for groups small or large (10 up to 180).

A Whole Site booking provides a total of 154 beds, 3 halls and 10 individual meeting rooms. A larger group can be accommodated by including the Christie Cabins with 20 beds to give 174 beds.

The Centre operates on a self-help basis and guests are required to set tables and clean up after each meal. All rooms are to be cleaned and tidied ready to be occupied by the next group. The manager resides on the property.
